Watch the terrifying moment floodwaters burst into a home in Wenxu, Zhanjiang, China, as Typhoon Matmo makes landfall.
RenLing Yan, from Zhanjiang, China published security camera footage from a ground-floor living room shows residents opening the front door to let someone in, only for a powerful surge of knee-high water to rush inside.
The force of the current knocks one woman off her feet, sweeping her across the room as others struggle to stand and close the door.
Posted on Douyin, it gathered over 85,000 likes and leaving many viewers in awe at the severity of the flood.
One commenter said: ‘Just shows why you should never open a door during a flood.’
Another said: ‘The grandma at the back breaks my heart.’
