In Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, police arrested three robbers — Satyam, Satendra Parihar, and Sanjay Verma — for snatching a woman’s mangalsutra near Gopalganj, Orai.
According to the complaint by Maheshwari Devi, she was on her way to buy milk on October 21 around 8 p.m. when three men sneaked up from behind and snatched her mangalsutra before fleeing.
Acting swiftly, police formed special teams and, with the help of CCTV footage and surveillance, arrested all three accused within 12 hours and recovered the stolen jewelry.
The accused, who limped out of the police station after questioning, have been sent to jail.
