Watch this shocking video of a girl getting burned while jumping a burning rope during a fire show.
Sruti Sridar Sridar, 28, a UX designer, had gone to the Phi Phi islands in Thailand for her bachelorette trip.
She had heard a lot about the many fire shows that happen on Phi Phi and wanted to see one.
These fire shows often occur nightly, sometimes with audience participation in activities like limbo or skipping rope after the main performance.
She got a chance to participate in skipping rope, and she took it.
Later, she unfortunately lost her footing and ended up burning herself.
Sruti said: “I burnt my stomach, a little bit of my hair and biceps with the rope.
“Fortunately, they were minor burns that healed in four days.
“The rope only made contact with me for mere seconds and quite literally barbequed me.
"I hope all the people participating in these events are super careful.”
