The skies above Gujarat’s Statue of Unity erupted in colour and precision as the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team delivered a breathtaking aerial performance during Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed the stunning display, which commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Before the air show, PM Modi offered floral tributes to India’s “Iron Man” and administered the national unity oath to thousands of attendees. The event featured a grand parade led entirely by women officers, cultural showcases by 900 artists, state tableaux themed on “Unity in Diversity,” and special performances including the BSF camel contingent, Gujarat Police horse display, and Assam Police motorcycle daredevils. The ceremony also honoured BSF and CRPF gallantry awardees for their exceptional bravery.
