The Budi95 targeted petrol subsidy got off to a smooth start, with over 13 million Malaysians benefiting in its first month of implementation in October, said Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying.
Lim told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (Nov 3) that the government is refining the system to make it more effective and inclusive, with savings — projected between RM2.5bil and RM4bil— redirected to programmes like SARA and Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR). 
She added that the mechanism for e-hailing drivers is being finalised, with details to be announced soon.
