The decision to hold the summit in Belém, capital of the Amazonian state of Pará, aligns with the government's intention to highlight the Amazon's crucial role as the planet's lungs in the global climate agenda. Scheduled for November 10th, the event is expected to welcome more than 170 delegations and at least 57 heads of state, underscoring its strategic importance.
