FREEDIVER NEARLY SWALLOWED BY GIANT HUMPBACK WHALE

This is the heart-stopping moment a freediver came within inches of being swallowed by a humpback whale.
Cindy Yang, 45, a freediving coach and underwater photographer from Australia, was diving off the coast of Norway when a huge bait ball of herring suddenly surrounded her.
Within seconds, a massive humpback whale surged up from the depths to feed, bursting through a cloud of bubbles and fins and narrowly missing Cindy as it engulfed the school of fish.
Miraculously, Cindy stayed calm and swam clear of the whale’s path.
She described the encounter as “The most breathtaking and humbling moment of her underwater career.
"While Freediving a bait ball of herrings emerges suddenly and a humpback whale came from beneath to feed, nearly swallowing me."
