MONKEY HELPS HUMAN PRACTICE FREEDIVING
WITH VID

Watch this cute video of a monkey holding the head of a diver practising freediving in a pool.
These monkeys are known as buddies, trained to help a diver practice their breathing at Lemus Underwater School in Mexico.
They place their hands on the heads of the divers to keep them from drifting away from the edge of the pool.
Staff at the school said: “These monkeys are highly trained and very friendly.
“If they spot that a diver is having any difficulty underwater, they are also trained to turn the diver's face up, essentially saving his/her life.
“We practice freediving sport. The first rule of our sport is never freedive alone! Hence, the monkey buddies stay with a diver while they practice controlling their breaths underwater.”
