Protests Sparked in Charlotte as Federal Authorities arrest 81 in Immigration Raids
Protesters gathered in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday, November 16, after federal immigration agents arrested at least 81 individuals as part of an expanded crackdown on illegal immigration under the Trump administration.
The raids, conducted by US Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), occurred within a five-hour span, according to Gregory Bovino, a senior Border Patrol official.
