Murder-suicide is suspected in the deaths of a UNC local government councillor and her common-law husband.The couple was found dead at their Coora Road, Siparia home on Sunday afternoon by the woman’s father who went to visit them.
Autopsies conducted on Monday concluded councillor Romona Victor died due to blunt force trauma to the neck and head, while her husband Rodney Ramsumair died from ingesting a poisonous substance.
As our reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh tells us, a handwritten note and a bottle of herbicide were recovered in the home, and relatives of the councillor described the
couple’s relationship as one that had a lot of “pulling and tugging.”
