Tropical storm Senyar is expected to hit 10 states, with continuous heavy rains, strong winds and rough seas for the next two days, from Nov 27 to 29, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia).
In an emergency media conference held on Thursday (Nov 27), MetMalaysia director-general Dr Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said this was the first time a tropical storm had reached such a strength after it formed in the Straits of Malacca.
