मुंबई की एक गली में रात होते ही एक ऑटो-रिक्शा अपने आप चलता दिखाई देता था। लोग कहते थे कि जो भी उसमें बैठता है, कभी वापस नहीं आता। एक रात 27 साल का युवक देर से घर लौट रहा था। उसने वही रिक्शा देखा और उसमें बैठ गया। कुछ ही सेकंड में रिक्शा तेज़ी से दौड़ने लगा। जब उसने ड्राइवर की ओर देखा… वहाँ कोई नहीं था। घबराकर वह उतरना चाहता था, लेकिन दरवाज़ा अपने आप लॉक हो गया। रिक्शा सुनसान सड़कों से होते हुए अंधेरे में गायब हो गया।
अगली सुबह अखबार में छपा— “27 साल का युवक लापता।”
आज भी लोग कहते हैं, आधी रात को वही रिक्शा नए शिकार की तलाश में घूमता है।
In a narrow lane of Mumbai, people often reported seeing an auto-rickshaw driving by itself at night. Locals believed that anyone who sat inside never returned. One night, a 27-year-old man was walking home late when he saw that same rickshaw and got in. Within seconds, it sped up. When he looked toward the driver’s seat… no one was there. Panicking, he tried to get out, but the door locked on its own. The rickshaw raced through empty streets and vanished into darkness.
The next morning, the newspaper read— “27-year-old man missing.”
Even today, people claim that the same rickshaw roams the lane at midnight… searching for its next victim.
