NU pep squad claims record 9th UAAP cheerdance championship
Banking on a ninja-inspired performance, the National University Pep Squad claimed its record-setting ninth Cheerdance Competition title in the UAAP Season 88 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Nov. 29, 2025. Executing with Japanese flare, NU broke the 3-way tie in titles won with the UP Pep Squad and the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe. NU amassed 695 points and claimed its second straight championship before a crowd of 20,129. The Adamson Pep Squad with its ‘Adventure’ theme placed second with 659 points, while the Far Eastern University Cheering Squad with its Childhood Games-themed performance completed the podium with 658.5 points.
