Intense clashes continue in Rafah as Israeli forces push deeper into Hamas’ remaining tunnel networks. According to field reports, a senior Hamas commander and three fighters were killed during an attempted escape from an underground passage. During the confrontation, the fighters opened fire, resulting in the death of an Israeli soldier before they were neutralized by nearby units.
Israel has deployed specialized tunnel-warfare teams, including canine units, engineering squads, and robotic systems, to locate and engage militants underground. Footage from the area shows the increasingly difficult conditions inside the tunnels as pressure grows on Hamas’ remaining units.
Tensions also remain high along the newly enforced “yellow line,” where Israeli forces continue to restrict movement and respond to perceived security threats. The situation in Rafah remains volatile as both sides brace for further escalation.
