Trees — The Garden Of Jane Delawney 1970 (UK, Psychedelic, Folk Rock)

The debut album by a folk-rock quintet from London, which lasted three years (1969-1972) and released only two albums. Although they were not commercially successful, the group gained popularity over the years, even after their breakup. Like other folk groups of the time, their music was influenced by Fairport Convention, but Trees' music was heavier and more psychedelic. Their repertoire included both folk song covers and their own compositions. The band was constantly unlucky, constantly beset by some truly incredible misfortune. A van that broke down 20 miles from their first scheduled gig was only the first link in a chain of bad luck. The biggest blow that struck Trees when they were just starting to gain popularity was the theft of all their equipment and instruments. This likely led to the band's rapid breakup, as They didn’t have the money to buy new equipment...
