Cojuangco slams Villegas statement condemning proposed power plant in Pangasinan
Pangasinan 2nd District Rep. Mark Cojuangco questions the validity of Archbishop Socrates Villegas’ statement condemning the proposed Pangasinan Nuclear Power Plant to be built in Labrador, Pangasinan. He told The Manila Times during the opening of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute’s (DOST-PNRI) 53rd Atomic Energy Week in Quezon City on Dec. 9, 2025. Cojuangco claimed that when he spoke to Bishop Jacinto Jose of Urdaneta, he said he was pro-nuclear, unlike what Villegas claims.
