Honduran presidential candidate Salvador Nasralla has accused the National Party and electoral authorities of manipulating thousands of tally sheets and demanded a ballot-by-ballot recount. With the preliminary 2025 election results showing a narrow lead for National Party candidate Nasry Asfura, Nasralla claimed inconsistencies in the vote transmission system had harmed his Liberal Party. The recount is set to begin amid allegations of fraud and irregularities in one of Honduras’ closest elections in years.
