Marcos optimistic up to 60% of flooding in Bacolod City will be reduced with ongoing program
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expresses optimism that the ongoing 'Oplan Kontra Baha' initiative could cut flooding in Bacolod City by 50 percent to 60 percent through dredging, drainage improvements, and clearing of waterways. Marcos made the statement during the inauguration of the rehabilitated Banago Port and inspection of Mambuloc Creek in Bacolod City on Dec. 12, 2025.
