Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was forced to apologize on Thursday night over an 'insensitive comment' he made after their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Robinson, who scored a crucial fourth-quarter touchdown as Atlanta ran out 29-28 winners in Tampa, joined Prime Video's postgame broadcast alongside teammates Kyle Pitts and Kirk Cousins to discuss the game at Raymond James Stadium.
While being interviewed by the panel, the 23-year-old was praised by analyst Richard Sherman for a play which saw him make several players miss on the ground, admitting it reminded him of 'backyard' football.
It was at that point when Robinson referenced a classic backyard game he used to play as a kid, which includes an offensive homophobic slur.
'Smear the q****, that's what we do,' he laughed.
The Prime Video team attempted to deflect by instead labeling the game 'kill the carrier'.
