Eurovision organisers have defended the song contest’s founding message of unity after several countries announced boycotts over Israel’s participation. Speaking on security preparations, Austrian broadcaster ORF said ensuring safety has been a top priority from the outset, including coordination with police, government officials and international partners.
The host broadcaster stressed that both physical and cyber security measures are being strengthened amid heightened political tensions. Organisers said they are working closely with the European Broadcasting Union and authorities to ensure a safe and inclusive event, while maintaining that Eurovision should remain a non-political celebration of music and cultural exchange.
