ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಇಚ್ಚೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಷ್ಟ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಗೆ. ಇದು ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರದ ಮಾತು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ಬೇರೆ ವಿಚಾರ. ಆಗಲೂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಸಲೀಸು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಆಟ ಕೆಡುತ್ತದೆ.
If Siddaramaiah is removed from the Chief Minister’s post against his will, the Congress will suffer more damage than Siddaramaiah himself. This is something the high command is well aware of. However, if there was a prior understanding or promise regarding the transfer of power, that is a different matter. Even then, the transition will be smooth only if Siddaramaiah is taken into confidence. Otherwise, the game will fall apart.
