Scientists have just discovered a jaw-dropping planet that looks like it came straight out of Star Wars! :milky_way:
Called HD 143811 b, this massive gas giant orbits two suns — just like Tatooine!
Located 446 light-years from Earth, the planet is six times the mass of Jupiter and takes 300 years to orbit its stars. Despite its distance, it's still roasting at 730°C, thanks to the intense heat from its binary suns.
What makes this even more fascinating? It was found by digging through old telescope data — a rare discovery by two independent teams on opposite sides of the world.
This incredible find could change how we understand planets forming in complex star systems — and might even bring us closer to finding Earth-like worlds in double-sun systems one day!
