These adverts come from a broadcast of It'll Be Alright on the Night 3 from Christmas Day 1981. There are a number of famous faces, from Spike Milligan, Windsor Davies and Paul Hogan (pre-Crocodile Dundee), plus nostalgia in thew adverts and shops on show no longer here. The adverts are as follows:
1st Break: TV ads for Boxing Day for Metal Mickey, celebrity Family Fortunes, Russ Abbott's Madhouse and the premiere of the Robert Powell 39 Steps version. Then the adverts, which are Beechams Powder Hot Lemon (Wife & Hubby shopping); British Tourism (with Spike Milligan!); Queensway furniture sale; Mars bar, Butlins Holiday Camp; Fosters lager (Paul Hogan - Drought is over); Woolworths sale (Windsor Davies); TCP antiseptic (cartoon) and Argos sale before going to LWT announcer Sue Peacock to introduce the start of It'll Be Alright on the Night 3.
2nd break: Thomas Cook holidays, Texas homecare sale, Coalite (Country Estate elderly couple try to keep warm); Tennents Extra lager (Couple in desert) and Pharmacin headache pills (Schoolteacher talks in playground).
3rd break: Selfridges sale, Beechams Powder Hot Lemon (Shopping couple); Jamaica tourism (twinned with Air Florida); MFI half price sale, Carlsberg beer (rows of pints convention) and WH Smith travel holidays.
