Starring John Hurt as the storyteller, this tale features Steven Mackintosh, Philip Jackson, Cathryn Bradshaw, Pauline Moran, Paul Brooke, Colin Farrell (no, not that one) Merelina Kendall, Anthony O'Donnel, Robert Eddison, Timothy Kightley, Diana Payan, Ross Boatman and Alistair Fullarton. And it's a great tale too, featuring a host of familiar faces such as Steven Mackintosh, Cathryn Bradshaw (Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit), while if the Ferryman looks familiar you've probably seen him as the knight who guards the chalice in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. But this episode is also notable for featuring both Philip Jackson and Pauline Moran just two years before they would appear together in Agatha Christie's Poirot in 1989.
