The Met Office has revealed the latest forecast and it brings cold winds frosty mornings and a dramatic twist heading into New Year
Christmas Day is expected to be cold and windy across much of the UK with bright spells for many and temperatures feeling close to freezing due to strong easterly winds
Snow chances on Christmas Day are very slim with only a small possibility of flurries over Dartmoor while most areas stay dry and sunny
But the story does not end there
Weather maps suggest a sharp temperature drop by New Year’s Eve with the possible return of the Beast from the East bringing bitter cold and potential snow especially in eastern parts of the UK
