Ice sport broomball faces extinction as player numbers fall and rinks shut

North Queensland might be an unlikely home for an ice-based sport but for decades broomball has flourished. The fast-passed and at times slippery sport is at risk of coming to a screeching halt as player numbers fall and costs rise.
