A magical moment unfolded at a luxury island resort when Santa arrived in the Maldives not on a sleigh, but by seaplane.
Travel business owner Lyndsey Middleton filmed the video from Midlothian, UK, at the Maldives Lux Resort.
It shows her 6-year-old son Jacob waving excitedly as Santa steps off the plane, greeting guests against the backdrop of turquoise water and white sand.
The sight of Santa arriving island-style delights Jacob, who can be seen beaming and waving as resort guests watch the festive entrance.
The wholesome moment was shared on Instagram, capturing the joy of a Maldivian Christmas.
