Next — Dusty Shoes 1971 (Canada, Hard Rock, Funk, Psychedelic Rock)
This band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, formed in 1971 following the breakup of the regional band The Fifth. The musicians quickly secured a contract with Warner Brothers, and by the end of 1971, they released their only album, "Dusty Shoes." The album sold poorly, and the band broke up. The musicians later went on to form other projects—The Guess Who, Harlequin, and The Litter. Next... was a band from Canada. They released this only album back in 1972. They play raw, psychedelic hard rock from the early 1970s, with raspy lead vocals, organ, and some funky rhythms. Imagine a mix of early Grand Funk Railroad, Mountain, and Nazareth.
