जनाजे के दौरान पूरे इलाके में शोक का माहौल रहा। लोग हाथों में झंडे और पोस्टर लिए अपने नेता को आखिरी सलाम देते नजर आए।
खालिदा जिया न सिर्फ बांग्लादेश की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री थीं, बल्कि देश की राजनीति की सबसे प्रभावशाली हस्तियों में से एक मानी जाती थीं।
