German police said on Dec 31 that their investigation is underway following a robbery at the Sparkasse bank in the western city of Gelsenkirchen during the Christmas holiday, as the bank customers continued to demand answers and their money back.
Thieves drilled their way into the vault of the bank and made off with at least 10 million euros' worth of money and valuables from the customers' safe deposit boxes.
