Liquor Sales. Liquor sales in the state have set an all-time record. In the month of December alone, sales crossed the ₹5,000 crore mark. It is natural for sales to increase during festivals and special occasions. However, excise officials say that sales have never reached this level before. On December 31st, liquor worth ₹400 crore was consumed, followed by ₹375 crore on December 30th, ₹282 crore on December 29th, and ₹182 crore on December 28th.
రాష్ట్రంలో మద్యం అమ్మకాలు ఆల్ టైం రికార్డును సృష్టించాయి. ఒక్క డిసెంబర్ నెలలోనే రూ. 5 వేల కోట్ల సేల్స్ మార్కును దాటేసింది. సాధారణంగా పండుగలు, ప్రత్యేక రోజుల్లో అమ్మకాలు పెరగడం సహజమే. అయితే ఈ స్థాయిలో సేల్స్ ఎప్పుడూ కాలేదని ఎక్సైజ్ అధికారులు పేర్కొంటున్నారు. డిసెంబర్ 31న రూ.400 కోట్లు, డిసెంబర్ 30న రూ.375 కోట్లు, డిసెంబర్ 29న రూ.282 కోట్లు, డిసెంబర్ 28న రూ.182 కోట్ల విలువైన మద్యం తాగారు.
