Van Helsing and Friar Carl, who makes weapons, come to a village and help Anna fight Dracula's brides, Verona, Marishka, and Aleera. They kill Marishka in the process. That night, Velkan goes to see Anna to tell her about Dracula's plans, but he turns into a werewolf and runs away.

Van Helsing, a 2004 action-horror flick, was both penned and helmed by Stephen Sommers.
