The Pakistan Air Force released a video on January 3 showing the successful flight test of the locally developed Taimoor Weapon System, an air-launched cruise missile.
According to an official statement, the trial confirmed the missile’s performance during an air launch and validated its main operational systems.
The air force stated that the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile is designed to engage land and maritime targets with precision at ranges of up to 600 kilometers, carrying a conventional warhead. The test evaluated the missile’s navigation and guidance systems, as well as its ability to fly at very low altitudes — a profile intended to reduce exposure to hostile air defense and missile defense systems.
