However, activating Ga-Keen required two Magnet Men. Dr. Kagetsuki chose his daughter Mai as Magnet Man Minus, but the person qualified to be the other Magnet Man, Plus, had yet to be found. Kagetsuki set his sights on Takeshi, the son of his friend Tetsu Hojo, who possessed extraordinary electrical resistance, and attempted to recruit him as Magnet Man.
