The Strollers — Waiting Is… 1973 (Malaysia, Psychedelic Rock)
The Strollers formed in 1965 in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's most famous band of the 1960s and 1970s was virtually unknown outside of their home country. Aside from a couple of singles, the musicians released their only album in 1973, which boasted excellent sound. All the songs on the album were self-composed and sung in flute. The compositions range from heavy psychedelia with organ, guitar, and flute to late 1960s British pop with a touch of funk and prog elements. In 2006, the album was reissued in South Korea.
