NEW YEAR’S COUNTDOWN GOES WRONG AFTER BALLOON DROP FAILS

A group of friends anticipated ringing in the New Year at home however, their carefully planned balloon drop didn’t quite go as expected.
The video, filmed on a tripod by Trisha Reilly, from Abbotsford, Canada, shows Trisha alongside friends counting down to midnight with excitement.
As the final seconds tick away, the group cheers, waiting for balloons to fall behind them.
Instead, nothing happens. The balloons stubbornly stay put, turning the big New Year’s moment into an instant comedy fail as the group realizes the drop didn’t work.
The clip was shared on Instagram.
