Watch this hilarious video of a slow-paced fight between a chameleon and a snake.
Remi Vacher, a professional wildlife photographer from Dubai, was in a car with friends when he noticed the two reptiles on the side of the road.
They stopped to observe the scene where a boomslang snake attempted to attack the chameleon.
The chameleon was already hurt by the snake, but due to the injuries sustained, the chameleon’s movements were significantly slowed down, making the video seem as if it were shot in slow-motion.
Remi said: “The chameleon fought back as best he could, his body swaying, jaws open in defiance, refusing to give in easily.
“It was a painful struggle to watch: raw, slow, and deeply humbling.
“This wasn’t just a hunt: it was a reminder of how fragile life is in the wild.
“Every movement mattered. Every second counted. And even in his final struggle, the chameleon showed a quiet resilience that will stay with us far longer than the drive.”
