This quintessential “delinquent story” depicts the lives of Hiroshi and Toru, a pair of tough high school students who spend their days fighting and falling in love. While the protagonists are exceptionally skilled at fighting, they are not invincible. The early depictions realistically portrayed the daily lives of delinquent high school students, gaining popularity among middle and high school students at the time.
