Joanna Syren, from Rhode Island, USA, filmed the clip showing the animal struggling in the icy water when the local fire department quickly responds and make the save.
A firefighter, wearing a full dry suit, carefully makes his way across the ice before reaching the dog and dragging it back to solid ground.
The tense moment ends in relief as the dog is successfully rescued, shaking but alive, thanks to the quick action of emergency crews.
Posted on TikTok, the clip gathered more than 315,000 views, with many praising the bravery and skill of the firefighter.
Joanna said: ‘The dog was returned to his owner and his home happy, healthy and warm.’
