A sudden fire broke out near Haider Cotton Factory Chowk in the Sireli area of Rahim Yar Khan, causing panic in the surrounding area. According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred at 9:41 PM, and rescue teams responded immediately, departing within one minute of receiving the emergency call.
A total of five fire rescue vehicles along with additional personnel reached the scene and carried out firefighting operations. After 90 minutes of continuous efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control.
Rescue officials stated that goods worth Rs 45 million were present in the factory. Out of this, Rs 32 million worth of goods were saved, while Rs 13 million worth of goods were damaged due to the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The rescue operation was personally supervised by District Emergency Officer Dr. Adil-ur-Rehman, ensuring effective coordination and timely control of the situation.
