Weather Update. The meteorological department has predicted that the low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclone. It will be named Ornub. It is expected to make landfall near Portville in Sri Lanka. The meteorological department has issued a rain alert for Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu and Kerala on January 11th. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in the South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts.
బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఏర్పడిన వాయుగుండం తుఫాన్ గా మారే అవకాశం ఉందని వాతావరణ శాఖ అంచనా వేసింది. దీనికి ఒర్ణబ్ అనే పేరు పెట్టనున్నారు. ఇది శ్రీలంక దేశం పొర్టువిల్ దగ్గర తీరం దాటనున్నట్లు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు. తమిళనాడు, కేరళ రాష్ట్రాలకు రెయిన్ అలర్ట్ ఇచ్చారు వాతావరణ శాఖ అధికారులు. జనవరి 11 తేదీన తమిళనాడు, కేరళ రాష్ట్రాల్లో వర్షాలు పడనున్నాయి. దక్షిణ కోస్తా, రాయలసీమ జిల్లాల్లో తేలికపాటి నుంచి మోస్తరు వర్షాలు పడనున్నాయి.
