The city of Aleppo was declared free of the presence of the Syrian Democratic Forces after confirmation of the departure of the last remaining fighters from the northern districts. The final troops left Sheikh Maqsood on buses bound for the northeast of the country, ending years of their presence in strategic enclaves within the metropolis. As part of the transfer of control to the de facto Syrian government, security forces announced the immediate takeover of key facilities, including the Yasin Hospital, which had served as an operational base in the district.
