തദ്ദേശ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ UDF കരുതിയതിനേക്കാൾ മികച്ച റിസൾട്ട് കിട്ടി. തൃക്കാക്കര മുതൽ തദ്ദേശം വരെ ഒരിടത്തും UDF പിറകോട്ട് പോയിട്ടില്ല. അത് നിയമസഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലും ആവർത്തിക്കും. ഭൂരിപക്ഷമില്ലാത്ത ബിജെപിയാണ് കേന്ദ്രം ഭരിക്കുന്നത്, അത് കേരളത്തിലും പ്രതിഫലിച്ചു. തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരത്തിലെ എല്ലാ സീറ്റും ജയിക്കും UDF, നേമത്ത് മാത്രമാണ് ഫൈറ്റ്. നിയമസഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് അവലോകനവുമായി സിഎംപി നേതാവും രാഷ്ട്രീയ നിരീക്ഷകനുമായ സി.പി ജോൺ വൺ ഇന്ത്യയോടൊപ്പം
