Victoria's Longwood fire hit the community of Ruffy particularly hard. Properties were destroyed, livestock lost and livelihoods left in ruins. Theo Lagarde was out fighting the fire as a volunteer lieutenant in the CFA when he had to rush back home as the fire closed in.
