Malaysia and Indonesia have blocked Elon Musk’s xAI Grok after authorities said it was being used to generate explicit and non-consensual images. Britain’s media regulator, Ofcom, has also announced it is investigating whether the platform has breached UK law. Professor Nicola Henry is a researcher of technology-facilitated abuse and image-based sexual abuse at RMIT University. She says legal regulation and better education are needed to keep technology companies and users accountable.
