Cebu opens investment summit
Cebu Province opens the three-day Cebu International Investment Summit (CIIS) 2026 on Jan. 12, 2026, aiming to attract foreign investors and strengthen economic partnerships. The summit at the Cebu Provincial Capitol under the theme 'Cebu: Asia Pacific’s Economic Epicenter,' gathered local and international business leaders, diplomats, and officials, including foreign delegations from South Korea, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Gov. Pamela Baricuatro highlighted Cebu’s skilled workforce, strategic location, and growing economy as key advantages. Dr. Brian To, Baricuatro’s partner global strategist, had a talk during the summit the next day.
