MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki on Wednesday (Jan 14) said a former army chief, who was previously remanded in connection with the procurement tender corruption case, and his two wives have been released from MACC custody.
He had previously said that an application to extend the remand period for the former army chief would be made based on the needs of the current investigation.
