Spirits And Worm — Spirits And Worm 1969 (USA, Psychedelic Rock)
One of the rarest psychedelic albums. The album was recorded on A&M Records in 1969, and the entire pressing was recalled almost immediately after its release when the label discovered that the band's chosen cover (goats on a grave) had satanic overtones. The music produced by this group features Adrianne Maurici's powerful vocals, which has led to comparisons with Jefferson Airplane, and in places, is reminiscent of Santana. All songs are written by Carlos Hernandez. Typical psychedelia with a distinct West Coast style, featuring male and female vocal harmonies, fuzzed guitar, and a few subtle effects.
