A stark nuclear warning has emerged from Moscow after a senior Kremlin-linked strategist said Russia would use nuclear weapons if it ever came close to defeat at Europe’s hands. Speaking in an interview with Tucker Carlson, Sergey Karaganov accused European leaders of intellectual decline, warned that Europe would be “finished physically” in a worst-case scenario, and criticized Russia for being too patient as the Ukraine war drags on. The remarks come as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also rebuked European nations for seeking to prolong the conflict, accusing Brussels and NATO of preparing for a broader confrontation with Russia.
