Four astronauts evacuated from the International Space Station landed safely back on Earth after their mission was cut short by a month due to a serious medical issue. NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego at 3:41 a.m. following an 11‑hour journey.
